Varon Vehicles Corporation is developing a transportation system based on urban friendly flying cars. The company’s proprietary flying cars are a building block of its transportation system, which also involves airspace integration, urban implementation, an app environment and business strategies. The flying cars transportation system is being designed with all necessary pillars to operate as a self-sufficient system in such a way that it can be implemented in cities in partnership with local authorities.
The ever-growing problem of urban / suburb mobility is being tackled by Varon Vehicles Corporation via a shared transportation system that will provide short trips service for otherwise very long commutes. Users will access the system via a Varon Vehicles app, where they will reserve a spot as a passenger on a two-seater V200T Varon Vehicles flying car, the other occupant will be the company flying car driver (yes, drivers, not pilots). The flying cars are of the Vertical Take-Off and Landing (VTOL) type which allows for a very small footprint, will fly at very low altitudes making them comfortable for regular people, fully electrical and the overall flight time will be measured in minutes, covering in a short time large distances and trajectories that on the road can take up to even hours.
Varon Vehicles Flying Cars have a flight computer that does all the heavy work of controlling the cars, leaving only high-level commands to the driver. No pilots required. All dynamics of the flying cars are limited, such as altitude, maximum speeds and flight within assigned virtual lanes. These virtual lanes and all the flying cars traffic are continuously monitored by a centralized Traffic Management System (TMS). The driver just drives the car to the Varon Vehicles vertiport of destination, even easier than he or she would drive a regular street car.
The Varon Vehicles app will assist on the city’s intermodality transportation alternatives to solve the first and last mile part of the trajectory for the users, from origin to initial vertiport where the user will board the flying car and from the final vertiport to destination. These may include metro, buses or available shared bicycles, shared car services or walking. The overall trip will be dramatically shortened.
Varon Vehicles Corporation intends to increase people’s quality of life by disrupting urban / suburb mobility. The company is designing both social and environmental impacts with this purpose in mind.
